How to make a catchy melody using a piano technique called “rythm recycling”

First: Take a catchy melody that you know and play it on your keyboard.

Next: Choose the mode for your melody. In this case, dorian.

The next thing you want to do is to sing the chord that you start on. Now we’ll take the rythm of the Harry Potter melody. Now singing we’ll create a melody.

Let’s start with C.

The more you sing chords and familiarize with scales the easier it will become.
